North Bay Rowing Club will join the other human-powered craft clubs in 2010's Day on The River, an annual drop-in event designed to introduce members of the community to leisure activities and sports that are enjoyed year-round on the Petaluma River in human-powered boats.
From 9 am until 3 pm, NBRC members will demonstrate rowing on the ergometers and dock boxes, and invite community members into sweep boats to enjoy short rows from our dock at the end of 2nd Street.
The public is also invited to try outrigger canoeing, kayaking, stand-up paddling and more! All instructors are volunteers from PSC3 member organizations, people who can share the challenges and joys of getting around (and racing) on our river in human-powered boats.
This event is completely FREE and open to the public. It is organized by PSC3 (Petaluma Small Craft Center Coalition) as a way to publicize the many ways we enjoy our river. The ultimate goal of PSC3 is the construction and opening of a Small Craft Center that will cater to the public, offering instruction and rental of a number of small human-powered craft.
