Little Red Hen on 1st Street, off to market, jiggidy jig!

On the evening of Wednesday, July 22nd, sometime around 6:30 pm, seven members of North Bay Rowing Club made a well-planned and exciting foray through the Wednesday Night Farmers' Market on 2nd Street between B & D Streets. Coxed by the imperturbable Skye Kramer-Baldwin, the crew of what we've renamed "The Red Rooster" (a de-rigged Red Rocket) a.k.a. "The Little Red Hen" (when carried by NBRC women with a great DIY attitude) paraded, ever so carefully, amongst the citizenry. The path down 1st Street away from the boatyard garnered some applause from a second-story window.

NBRC Juniors complete successful, fun-filled season

Here's a report by Megan Coble, one of their coaches, about the Southwest Regional Championships, their final competition of the year, held at Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, on May 9th and 10th:

"A brief recap of Regionals:
Everyone was extremely excited to get to Sacramento; everything ran smoothly as we arrived for the 6:00pm C&C (Coaches and Coxswains) meeting on Friday, and rigged our quad and four to get the girls out for a practice row before the sun went down. Then it was back to the hotel where we had pizza by the pool and then a team meeting in the coaches' room.
