Save Shollenberger continues its efforts to halt the construction of a large asphalt plant on the banks of the Petaluma River. This fundraiser is the second annual of its kind and offers music, food and drinks to a crowd of supporters. There will also be a silent auction and food cart vendors. Buy your tickets early. North Bay Rowing Club founder, Greg Sabourin, couldn't let the opportunity slip away; with this year's theme being "River of Dreams", the co-founder and board member of the Petaluma Small Craft Center (psc3.org) knew the group had to make a big splash with this year's float. So he dreamed up the perfect representative of the multi-sport group, all of whom use paddles of some sort to propel themselves along the Petaluma River: A sidewheeler!

Check it out! Greg Lewis created the flyer, we took it to San Diego, and Lake Merritt Rowing Club's Linda Marousek posted it where everyone (and we mean EVERYONE) could see! Hats off to all involved! This year's Petaluma River Marathon and Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 2nd.
