On Sunday, October 4th, Petaluma Mayor Pam Torliatt presented Wayne Rickter, the program head of NorCal Crew, with the "Van Bebber Cup", the first team trophy to be awarded in the Wine Country Rowing Classic. Two fine bottles from Adobe Road Winery were also presented as part of the award. The trophy is named for the Van Bebber Brothers Steel Service, who have generously loaned the river-side portion of their yard to North Bay Rowing Club and SSU for a boatyard and dock area.
