“The Mission of the NBRC Juniors program is to support young rowers in attaining the degree of fitness and skills necessary to compete at their optimal levels and to consistently foster a positive, team-oriented environment in which to grow.”
NBRC Junior Crew represents athletes from Sonoma, Napa and Marin County Schools. Coaches recruit both boys and girls in each county. Our Competitive Team races in the Southwest region against 30 teams. The Learn-to-Row Team learns rowing fundamentals necessary to compete. The fall season begins in September and runs through December. The spring season begins in January and runs through May.
High School Athletes
Spring Season 2017 Tryouts • Tuesday January 3rd- Saturday 7th
Join the team! This is an opportunity for athletes of all levels and backgrounds to “try out” the sport with the established crew. Tryout week is the first week of the Fall and Spring seasons. NBRC Juniors is a no-cut team so athletes who wish to continue to row after tryouts will find a spot on the team. We race in different divisions based on age, weight and ability. First year rowers are considered ‘Novice’ and will generally race in a separate division through the year. Check the Rowing Tryouts page for more information.
