Fools for The River is Wednesday, April 1st!
Last year, this turned into one of the best NBRC social events ever; it’s a great way to get to know your fellow rowers while eating and drinking up and down the river(side). Here’s how it works: you purchase one ticket for $41.00 (4/1, get it?) and you can go to 4 places (out of more than a dozen) and get 1 treat at each. This is a fundraiser for the Petaluma Small Craft Center, the non-profit organization that puts butts in boats through events like Day On The River, summer camps for teens; Post-Thanksgiving Turkey Relays, and more. PSCC is building The Floathouse, a rental center in the turning basin, and The Community Boathouse, eventually.
Here’s a 30-second video on how to use your ticket.
You can grab some friends (rowers or non-rowers), get some tickets and use them all day and all night, whenever the establishments are open. More info on participants to come, but some of the awesome treats are: A private port and cheese pairing at our neighbor’s, Sonoma Portworks; a lovely unique hummus plate at Aqus (kinda like the “rower’s hummus” on the “secret menu”, but bigger; zucchini plate or spring roll at Graffiti (yum!); duck dish at Central Market…. And more!
The ticket is transferrable, so you can use half and give it to a friend for the rest of the day…
Tickets are available online by donating $41.00 to Petaluma Small Craft Center (building you a boat rental center in the turning basin and a community boathouse, eventually).
Or you can go to Mail Depot or Clavey to get tickets starting March 18th. If you donate, Greg or Maggie will contact you to give you your ticket. You need the ticket on the day of the event. Come one, come all!
